The legal battle surrounding singer Lizzo continues to unfold, as at least six more individuals are reportedly considering joining the lawsuit against her, according to the attorney representing the plaintiffs. The initial complaint was filed by three former dancers who alleged a hostile work environment and harassment during their time as Lizzo’s dancers.

Ron Zambrano, the plaintiffs’ attorney from West Coast Employment Lawyers, revealed that they have received inquiries from six other individuals who share similar stories about the singer. This surge in interest comes after Noelle, Crystal, and Arianna, the initial plaintiffs, bravely spoke out about their experiences. Zambrano explained that some of the claims involve allegations of a sexually charged environment and non-payment of employees, but further investigation is required to determine their validity.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, also targets Lizzo’s production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc. (BGBT), and a person identified as the “dance cast captain.”

The allegations outlined in the complaint are distressing. One plaintiff claimed that Lizzo encouraged her to touch nude performers while on tour, despite her repeated objections. Another alleged that Lizzo made “thinly veiled” comments about her weight gain, pressuring her to disclose personal details about her life to keep her job. The plaintiffs also assert that they faced racial and religious discrimination.

Lizzo responded to the allegations via Instagram, expressing hurt and disappointment. She contested the sensationalized stories, highlighting that former employees have admitted to inappropriate behavior on tour. The artist defended her commitment to her work and high standards, stating that her decisions were never intended to make anyone uncomfortable.

She emphasized her stance against body shaming, sharing her experience and vowing not to let her positive contributions be overshadowed by the lawsuit. Lizzo thanked those who supported her during this challenging time.

As the legal proceedings evolve, the spotlight remains on the allegations against Lizzo and the potential impact on the music industry. With more individuals considering joining the lawsuit, the case continues to generate attention and discussion around issues of workplace culture, respect, and accountability.
