The San Diego Comic-Con recently unveiled a brand-new trailer for the much anticipated animated series “I Am Groot.” The new Disney+ title, which is actually five shorts starring everyone’s favourite monosyllabic tree-person, Groot, isn’t quite a whole show. The plots of the five short stories will revolve around the exploits of Baby Groot.
The “Baby Groot” character comes upon a little extraterrestrial race that views him as a threat in the I Am Groot clip. Groot anxiously farts a leaf from his bark-covered butt while in the grips of dread. The day is salvaged when the aliens start chewing on the foul foilage. As Groot boogies down, sneaks around in pyjamas, plays dress-up, and makes use of a hot spring, the teaser soon transforms into an all-out dance number.
The video is appealing to viewers of all ages and is bright, colourful, and entertaining.The five short films each focus on a distinct period of Groot’s youth. I Am Groot was created and written by Ryan Little, who also worked on What If…? as a script coordinator and writer. Bradley Cooper will once again portray Rocket, and Vin Diesel will reprise his role as Groot’s voice. Kristen Lepore is serving as the director.
The trailer also demonstrates how wonderful the photorealistic animation style of I Am Groot looks, with amazing attention to detail in Groot as well as on the setting and other characters that appear in the footage. Along with a short story that occurs between the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we can also anticipate seeing Baby Groot unwind as he spends his free time experimenting with various natural-themed looks.
The trailer even came with a brand-new poster. All five short appear to be a straightforward, endearing journey through space with Groot, but for the time being, it at least seems like it will be enjoyable while it exists. I Am Groot’s premiere is coming up soon, but Disney+ hasn’t yet released any other information on the individual short stories, such as a synopsis or potential guest actors. I Am Groot will debut on Disney+ on August 10.
