Rafael Casal, who currently plays the lead role in the show Blindspotting, will be a part of the Disney+ series Loki’s ensemble for Season 2, according to Deadline. Although the identity of Casal’s character in the second season of the show is being kept a secret, his part is anticipated to be important. He joins a small group of Season 1 cast members that have been confirmed to return for Loki’s season, including Eugene Cordero, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Owen Wilson, and Tom Hiddleston (Loki).

With the Sacred Timeline now broken and Loki and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) forced to face with the ramifications and consequences, Loki’s first season concluded on a significant cliffhanger. Although Season 2 filming got underway last month, the series’ future has received very little information. There is currently no release date for Loki. The first season of Loki’s six episodes is presently available to stream on Disney+.

The plot of Loki revolves around the God of Mischief after the events of Avengers: Endgame in 2019. The Time Variance Authority (TVA), a company that exists outside of time and space and is responsible with maintaining the “Sacred Timeline,” promptly takes custody of an alternate version of Loki after he steals the Tesseract during that movie.

In the 2018 film Blindspotting, which he also co-produced, co-wrote, and co-starred in with Daveed Diggs, Casal made his feature film debut. Later, the movie was turned into the Starz comedy-drama series of the same name. The show, which the network renewed for a second season, is executive produced by Casal and Diggs and stars them both. Other works by Casal include The Good Lord Bird on Showtime, the relaunched Are You Afraid of the Dark? on Nickelodeon, and Bad Education on HBO.
