Taipei: The government of Taiwan has released a new design for the country’s passport, in which the difference between Taiwan and China is clearly visible. The Taiwanese word font written in English has been increased in the new Taiwanese Passport.

Passport Taiwan word replaced
The word ‘Taiwan’ in the passport has not only been enlarged, but its location has also been changed. The current passport has the word ‘Taiwan’, then Taiwan in Chinese and then the word ‘Passport’, while the new passport has Taiwan written in Chinese, followed by Taiwan in English and then the passport.
Why was the word taiwan extended
In a press conference announcing the new design, Foreign Minister Joseph Wu said the new cover was designed after a resolution passed by lawmakers in July, calling on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to put the word ‘Taiwan’ over ‘China’ Was asked to highlight. When will the new passport be issued
Foreign Minister Joseph Wu said that passports with a new cover design (Taiwan New Passport) will be issued by January 2021. However, people using existing passports can continue to use them until they expire.
