Angle again got an offer to participate in the Olympics but he rejected it

Angle started his career as an amateur wrestler and won a gold medal at the 1996 Olympics. After a few years, Angle again got an offer to participate in the Olympics but he rejected it. Talking on his show, he has given the reason for this. Angle said,

I gave it some serious thought. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s true what Dave Meltzer says. In 2004, if I had won the gold medal at the Olympics, I would have been the largest celebrity. However, my career would have been shattered if I hadn’t won the gold.

Angle also revealed that he didn’t even train for a year to maintain his body shape.

They said,
“I didn’t want to leave the company and take the chance of going to the Olympics. It was very difficult for me to win the gold medal because I had been away from the sport for eight years. It was tough to prepare myself to come back. One year to do that Had to spend more time in training.”

What did Kurt Angle do in WWE after leaving the Olympics in 2003-04?

In 2003, Kurt Angle started the year as the WWE Champion and defended his title at Royal Rumble. He did the main event at WrestleMania 19 and lost his championship there against Brock Lesnar.
