In 1972, Flair started his professional wrestling career. He captured various world championships, a record only matched by John Cena. Flair won these championships over illustrious tenure with the National Wrestling Alliance, World Championship Wrestling, and WWE. In an interview, Flair disclosed that in 2017, while being treated in a hospital, he experienced health issues that left him unconscious for 13 days and unable to move or speak when he finally came to. Before Flair’s appearance on the Sirius XM show, Conrad Thompson, the brains behind AdFreeShows, Starrcast, and the creation of Flair’s Last Match card, said that due to everything the wrestling icon has been through in his life, the old man just wants to feel like Ric Flair one last time.

Injured Ric

Before his last match, Ric Flair disclosed that he has a persistent injury. Despite feeling terrific lately, Flair stated the bottom of his foot has been bothering him when appearing on the podcast. The injury, he claimed, is severe enough to interfere with his everyday activities, but he doesn’t believe it will prevent him from playing in his “final match.” He claimed that if necessary, he’ll push through the pain and endure it.
According to Flair, he has been working out diligently in the gym, working out for two days before taking a day off.
Now it is known that Flair would join up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to take on Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, erstwhile rivals. Flair and FTR were meant to face the Rock N’ Roll Express together with a secret opponent in the original bout.. The card will be a part of the Nashville, Tennessee, Starrcast V celebrations.

Back in the days

While working for TNA in the early 2000s, Flair and Lethal engaged in numerous notable interactions. Lethal delivered one of his most iconic advertisements when they were at odds.. At Victory Road 10, Flair and Hulk Hogan famously clashed when the latter attempted to give away the latter’s Hall of Fame ring. Flair and Jarrett, who has been at odds since their time in the WWF and WCW, both joined TNA as their problems persisted.

Given the importance of the occasion, Flair has revealed that a few WWE Superstars and a Hall of Famer will be there to celebrate with him as he dons his boots for the very last time. This event also happens to coincide with WWE hosting their SummerSlam premium live event in Nashville during the same weekend.
