The former WWE referee Artemis claims that she decided to quit the company because, in the end, it was about the money. She was a guest on a renowned podcast when she was asked, “Why she left WWE, and she said that, it was all about the money. She claimed that when she disclosed all the details, she was being very honest and direct.

Money is an issue

Artemis had a long career with the NXT UK brand before she decided not to sign the subsequent 2-year contract.
She turned down the second two-year contract with WWE since they were offering her the same salary as in her first contract, and as a result, she had to quit her job because she could no longer afford to pay her bills.
She acknowledged that she had never earned as little money as she did while working for WWE. Even though she promised to take on extra work to boost her compensation, she was told that nothing was available that would allow her to make more than she is already making.
Later, she clarified that while she was grateful and happy for her time spent in WWE, she was also saddened by how things had turned out.
She was able to regain her freedom, so she is now free to do whatever she pleases. Artemis underwent endometriosis surgery before the WWE tryout, and it took her some time to regain her mobility. She also dropped a significant amount of weight after the surgery and even mentioned how painful the entire process was.

On the podcast

A significant concern was the pay.
She never thought she would say that because she anticipated that would be her sole occupation; it was fantastic while it lasted. She has never earned as little as she did when working for WWE.
It’s strange because she used to often appear on television across several countries, but switching from teaching to refereeing required her to forgo a sizable salary increase.
As a result, after nearly a year of unemployment, she worked for two years under contract.
Then, just before her contract expired, they issued her a new, two-year contract and informed her that her pay would not change when she inquired about it.
