Apple iOS 16: Here are three features you may have not looked

Apple unveiled iOS 16, its next-generation iPhone software, at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2022. The keynote addressed some of the major changes coming to iOS. However, due to time constraints, not all of the upcoming features usually make it to the keynote presentation. Apple has a dedicated iOS 16 website where it lists all of the features that will be included in the new software. We look at ten features that you may have overlooked but will be very useful to the majority of iPhone users.

Remember that the iOS16 beta build is currently available to anyone with a developer account. The public beta will be available next month for those who have a regular account. The full list of compatible devices is available here, though some features require an iPhone Xs or higher.

1) Recover messages that were recently deleted

Apple will allow users to make changes and even undo messages sent through the app. Apple has set a 15-minute time limit for users to edit or undo sending any message. What it didn’t say was that users will be able to recover recently deleted messages for up to 30 days after they were deleted.

2) Wi-Fi passwords in the Settings menu

In the settings app, it will also be easier to find and manage your Wi-Fi passwords. Users will now be able to refer to and share passwords for specific Wi-Fi networks, as well as delete old ones.

3) Photo editing

Apple will allow users to batch edit photos by copying edits made to one photo and pasting them into another photo or set of photos. In iOS 16, users will also be able to undo and redo multiple edit steps in their photos.
