The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes, a BBC series labelled as a Netflix Original in all regions other than the United Kingdom, is set to leave the service in July 2022.
The documentary series, hosted by Piers Taylor and Caroline Quentin, premiered on British television in January 2017 and was renewed for a second season, which aired in February 2018.
Each episode took you around the world to look at homes where architecture was pushed to its limits, whether because the house was built in an unusual location or in difficult environments. The first season was then added to Netflix as a Netflix Original in March 2018, with the second season divided into two halves. The first half of Season 1 was released in September 2018, followed by the second half in January 2019.

The show was available on Netflix UK for a limited time, beginning in January 2018 and ending 29 months later in June 2020. The show will now be removed from Netflix in all regions on July 1st, 2022, with your last day to watch being June 30th, 2022.
Since licencing this series as a Netflix Original, Netflix has been hard at work building their own catalogue of home renovation and what we’d call “showcase docu-series” in this genre.
