Pop sensation Ariana Grande is set to continue her business involvement with Scooter Braun and his firm Hybe, despite having reportedly ended her managerial ties with him less than a year prior.
A representative announcement on Wednesday revealed that Grande is reviving her business partnership with Braun’s team.
“A reunion has been confirmed between Ariana Grande and HYBE, with CEO Scooter Braun leading the way. They are eager to maintain their business collaboration and explore new creative ventures within Weverse and REM Beauty,” declared Braun, aged 42, on Instagram through his marketing business, SB Projects.
Grande will persist in being exclusively managed by Brandon Creed and Good World Management in this new stage of her career.
Grande’s musical endeavors will remain separate from Hybe, which will focus on the promotion of her makeup line R.E.M. Beauty and the artist merchandise platform Weverse.
Braun, signifying the renewed alliance on his Instagram, expressed, “New chapter but always team Ari :).”
Braun was Grande’s manager during the formative years of her music career but was supposedly dismissed by the “No Tears Left to Cry” artist the previous year.
Grande has shifted to Good World Management under the guidance of Brandon Creed since their split.
Artists like Demi Lovato, J Balvin, and Carly Rae Jepsen followed Grande’s lead and parted ways with Braun around the same time.
Grande’s touring career commenced in 2013 with the release of her inaugural album, “Yours Truly,” and has since then added six more albums to her discography.
Their previous separation was in wake of the contentious battle Braun had with Taylor Swift regarding the acquisition of her master recordings in June 2019.
Following the controversial sale, which Braun concluded for over $300 million in 2020, Swift, aged 34, committed to re-recording her initial six studio albums, a project she has already initiated.
Swift had openly criticized Braun for the purchase, admitting to being “grossed out” by it.
In a reflection made in September 2022, Braun revealed the “important lesson” he learned from the situation with Swift’s recordings.
