Gwen Stefani is gearing up for a solo New Year’s celebration, as she won’t be sharing a midnight kiss with her husband, Blake Shelton. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Stefani revealed that her original plan was to attend Shelton’s New Year’s Eve show in Nashville. However, she received an invitation to perform in Las Vegas, leading her to change her plans and join a celebration on the other side of the country.
Stefani expressed that she was initially considering being in the audience at Shelton’s show but decided to accept the Vegas offer. She mentioned that sometimes she prefers not to be the host and felt excited about the opportunity to perform. While Shelton will be working on stage in Nashville, Stefani will be on her own gig in Vegas.
Reflecting on her decision, Stefani shared that she didn’t want to repeat last year’s experience of hosting a New Year’s Eve party in Vegas. Despite being away from each other for the celebration, Stefani and Shelton plan to make it a short trip, with Stefani mentioning that she’ll “fly in and out.” Despite the physical distance, Stefani expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming performance, stating, “It’s gonna be awesome. I’m really looking forward to it.”
