Developer Of Star Wars 1313 Responds To The Game’s Cancellation

There is no doubt regarding the massive success and popularity of The Mandalorian of the Star Wars franchise. The TV show is all about the tale of a bounty hunter who travels though space. Now, God of War chief Cory Barlog tweeted that he trusts there is a developer out there attempting to make fresh Star Wars game based on a similar bounty hunter story.

Why was Star Wars 1313 Cancelled?

Celia Hodent, a past member of the developing team at Lucasfilm, reacted to Barlog by bringing up that she and her group aimed to do precisely that with Star Wars 1313. The game showed up in news in 2012, and was a third-person action adventure game. The game was set in Coruscant and involved the player as a bounty hunter. Be that as it may, when Disney gained Lucasfilm, the super enterprise shut designer LucasArts and dropped every one of their games, including Star Wars 1313.

Developer Patrick Wren chipped away at this game, and he reacted to Hodent’s tweet, “If only people could have seen what was coming.” Hodent carried on stating that there is no way that Star Wars 1313 will be restored. “It was extremely difficult for the group? It won’t get restored.. it was canned such a large number of years back now (2013),” she said. Hodent additionally explained that the game wasn’t toward the end goal of its turn of events, yet she was content with what the group had. “There was still massive work to be done ahead. However, what we had was enchanted” she said.

Disney was at one point a major name in developing games, delivering the Disney Infinity, Epic Mickey, and Split/Second establishments, among others, yet has as of late stepped back for developing internal games. Chairman of Disney, Bob Iger, has recognized that Disney’s history of developing games has been inconsistent, which is the reason the organization is currently seeking after an alternate system where it licenses its games to engineers, similar to EA, to make Star Wars games.
