Deputies are conducting an investigation following a reported gunshot outside the Wegmans store in Pittsford, Rochester, New York. According to customers, the store was placed under lockdown as a safety measure. However, deputies have confirmed that everyone inside the store is safe and has been allowed to exit the building.

The entrance to the parking lot at the store has been blocked off, but the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is allowing people to leave. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.

A vehicle believed to be involved in the incident was seen being towed away from the scene, with one of its windows covered by a tarp. Deputies are actively searching for the vehicle in question.

The MCSO is currently conducting interviews with witnesses as part of their ongoing investigation. As a precautionary measure, the Pittsford Central School District has announced that all Pittsford campuses will be closed for lunches.
