Sophie E. Hall, a prominent social media influencer with 2.1 million followers on Instagram, has filed a lawsuit against Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The lawsuit alleges that Hill “violently” tackled her, resulting in a fractured leg, during a training session at his south Florida home in June 2023.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Hall filed the lawsuit in Broward County, Florida, circuit court seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages. The complaint, filed through her attorney Jonathan R. Gdanski, outlines the incident and accuses Hill of initiating contact with Hall after she enrolled her son in his football camp.
The lawsuit claims that Hill contacted Hall via direct message in a “flirtatious and playful manner,” asking about her height. Hall alleges that Hill’s messages were suggestive, leading to a conversation that ultimately resulted in the incident in question.
The court documents include excerpts of the messages exchanged between Hall and Hill, providing insight into their interaction leading up to the alleged tackle. In one message, Hill allegedly made a playful remark about Hall teleporting to him, to which she responded in jest.
The lawsuit sheds light on the events that transpired during the training session at Hill’s estate, alleging that the tackle by the NFL player was “violent” and resulted in Hall sustaining a fractured leg. It accuses Hill of negligence and seeks compensation for the damages incurred as a result of the incident.
Hill, who has not publicly commented on the lawsuit, has recently faced scrutiny over his personal life, including reports of marital issues. The lawsuit adds to the legal challenges facing the NFL player, raising questions about accountability and responsibility in professional sports.
As the case unfolds, it underscores the potential risks associated with interactions between public figures and individuals in the age of social media. The outcome of the lawsuit will likely have implications for both Hill and Hall, shaping the narrative surrounding the incident and its aftermath.
