Zachery Ty Bryan, best known for his role in the hit sitcom “Home Improvement,” has found himself in legal trouble once again after being arrested on suspicion of DUI in La Quinta, California.
According to arrest records obtained by ET from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the 42-year-old actor was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center early Saturday morning. The charges against Bryan include felony DUI with at least three prior offenses and misdemeanor contempt of court.
Reports indicate that Bryan was pulled over by officers just after 2 a.m. following suspicions that his vehicle had been involved in a prior collision. Upon speaking with the actor, law enforcement officials allegedly observed signs of impairment, leading to Bryan being taken into custody.
Details regarding whether Bryan underwent a breathalyzer or field sobriety test have not been disclosed at this time.
This isn’t the first time Bryan has faced legal consequences related to DUI charges. In May 2020, he was arrested for DUI and later pleaded guilty to the charge. As a result, he was sentenced to five years of probation and mandated to participate in an 18-month multiple-offender alcohol program, owing to previous DUI arrests in 2004, 2007, and 2017.
Furthermore, Bryan’s recent arrest comes on the heels of another legal issue. Less than six months ago, he pleaded guilty to felony assault following an incident in Eugene, Oregon, in July.
As Bryan prepares to appear in court on April 23 regarding his most recent arrest, fans and observers are left to speculate on the actor’s future and hope that he receives the necessary support to address any underlying issues contributing to his legal troubles.
