In a thrilling turn of events for hip-hop enthusiasts, Pusha-T, the Grammy-nominated artist, has ignited excitement by hinting at the possibility of another Clipse project, the iconic rap duo he forms alongside his brother Malice. With their last album dating back to 2009, fans have been yearning for more of the duo’s distinct style and lyrical prowess.
Pusha-T, born Terrence Thornton, opened up about the potential project and his upcoming performance at the Pepsi Dig In Day Block Party in Washington D.C. Clipse has been making notable appearances over the past year, gracing stages at festivals, fashion shows, and even collaborating on tracks once again.

When asked about the likelihood of a new Clipse project, Pusha-T’s eyes lit up with enthusiasm. “I really would hope so,” he exclaimed. “I really would love to, man. I really would love to. At this point, I feel like we’ve been in a space a lot together lately, and in those spaces, the creativity’s just been flowing.”
Pusha-T went on to explain the organic evolution of their creative process, attributing it to the synergy between him and his brother in recent collaborations. The duo’s connection has resulted in notable contributions like the tracks heard at the Louis Vuitton fashion show, where Pharrell’s creative direction intersected with their musical talent.
Reflecting on the transformation of their musical dynamic, Pusha-T noted how the process has shifted from being a job to a leisurely experience. “Before when we were doing music, it was much more of a job,” he reflected. “Now everybody is who they are and they’re comfortable in their skin and they’re comfortable in their space and it’s way easier, it’s super leisure, and it’s just all about maintaining that high standard of lyricism and metaphors.”
While discussing the pleasures of performing with his brother, Pusha-T’s excitement was palpable. “Being a soloist for so long now, when I’m on stage with my brother, it’s like, ‘Wait a minute, I actually get this break. I get this rest. I get to actually be a fan of somebody else’s verses and not just spinning my own,'” he shared. “I get caught up in his greatness so much, so that’s probably about the biggest part for me.”
Pusha-T’s anticipation extends to his upcoming performance at the Pepsi Dig In Day Block Party, where he plans to deliver a solo set. This event is not only a celebration of Black-owned businesses but also a platform for community building, music, and networking.
For fans eager to witness Pusha-T’s undeniable energy and stage presence, the anticipation is building. As he prepares to grace the stage once more, he leaves fans with an unwavering promise: “If people haven’t seen Pusha-T live before, they’re in for a treat. My on-off switch is only turned on by me. And again, I’m going to turn it on every time.”
As the prospect of a new Clipse project hovers in the air, and Pusha-T continues to captivate audiences with his performances, the hip-hop world is abuzz with excitement, eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this legendary artist’s journey.
