In an exclusive announcement, Daniel Seavey, the 24-year-old musician and former member of boy band Why Don’t We, has emerged victorious from a lengthy legal battle that stalled his musical journey. Seavey’s new EP, titled “Dancing in the Dark,” is here, marking a moment of liberation for the artist.

Ten months ago, Seavey released his debut single as a solo artist after his band went on hiatus due to legal disputes. He reflects on the journey, sharing, “I felt alive again and couldn’t wait to get back to doing what I love most.” However, the excitement was short-lived as he encountered another legal struggle.

Due to the ongoing legal battle between Why Don’t We and their manager, Seavey found himself unable to sign a new deal or release new music. “It felt like everything I’d worked so hard for was coming to an end again,” he shares. The uncertainty about ownership of his creative work left his future hanging in the balance, causing six months of turmoil.

Yet, with unwavering hope, faith, and a supportive team, Seavey’s message is clear: “I’m free.”

His new EP, “Dancing in the Dark,” consisting of seven tracks, encapsulates his journey from darkness to light. Seavey emphasizes the significance of embracing one’s gifts and fighting for them, as they define our uniqueness. “I believe if we fight for the gifts we’re given, we can overcome anything, and this EP is proof of that,” he asserts.

The EP follows Seavey’s single “I Tried,” released in January, along with “Can We Pretend That We’re Good?” and “Runaway.” The artist acknowledges that his situation isn’t unique, but he’s determined to forge ahead in his liberated chapter of life and career.

Seavey’s positive outlook shines through as he expresses excitement about returning to the studio and working on his new album. He envisions an album filled with more experiences, joy, and weightlessness than ever before.

As the artist triumphantly releases “Dancing in the Dark,” fans can celebrate with him, acknowledging the resilience that artists like Seavey exhibit even in the face of legal hurdles. The EP’s release is not just a musical milestone, but a testament to the power of determination and the pursuit of one’s passion.

“Dancing in the Dark” is out now, marking the beginning of a new and liberated phase in Seavey’s musical journey.
