On October 28, singer Jin—a member of the South Korean music phenomenon BTS—will release "The Astronaut," his debut solo track.

The group's management business, BigHit Music, had previously stated that the group is eager to complete their required military service, with the eldest member Jin starting the process by the end of the month.

The statement was made on the fan community forum Weverse on Tuesday night.

"The Astronaut, the debut solo song from BTS member Jin, will be made available on October 28, 2022.

We hope that "The Astronaut" will be a present to each and every one of you because it was written with such love for the fans "The organisation released a statement.

Jin, who will be 30 in December, will start the enlisting procedures as soon as obligations relating to the release of his solo album are fulfilled.

All physically fit men between the ages of 18 and 28 are required to serve a two-year military enlistment in South Korea.

All BTS members were given the option to delay their conscription until they were 30.

According to the agency, BTS, which also includes RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Suga, plans to reform as a group after completing their service commitment in 2025.

The group, which made its debut in 2013, is currently taking a hiatus as a whole as each member works on individual projects. They had made their break official in June of this year.
