Keanu Reeves can be seen strolling through a wintry New York City scene in a new John Wick: Chapter 4 photograph. Following the 2014 success of the original movie, director Chad Stahelski returned back Keanu Reeves’ titular assassin for two additional sequels, each of which received positive reviews from critics and delivered solid box office results.
Reeves will next be seen in John Wick: Chapter 4, in which his character battles some old friends while discovering a way to finally defeat the High Table. Along with Reeves, the next movie also stars the comebacks of Winston, played by Ian McShane, the Bowery King, played by Laurence Fishburne, and Charon, played by Lance Reddick, as well as a number of brand-new characters.
New Shot From 4th Chapter
A fresh shot from the next John Wick: Chapter 4 film, taken by photographer Murray Close and licenced by Lionsgate, shows Keanu Reeves’ Wick strolling through what seems to be a very chilly New York City. Although the new picture doesn’t give away much about the story, it does depict Wick recovering from being shot off a building in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and confirms that the next instalment will once more take place in New York City.

In John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Winston betrays John in an unexpected twist by shooting him multiple times just before Reeves’ character is about to jump from a balcony of The Continental. The Bowery King is then shown John, who is clearly prepared to work with him to overthrow the High Table and is likely bleeding and has several broken bones. Given how easily Reeves‘ character moves around and takes down foes in the John Wick: Chapter 4 trailer, it seems likely that some time has elapsed since the conclusion of the third movie and Wick’s wounds have healed.
Additionally, John Wick: Chapter 4 was filmed in Germany, Jordan, Japan, France, and New York City, indicating that the future movie will travel the world even more than its predecessors did.
Cast from Chapter 4 of John Wick
While several well-known faces will make a comeback in John Wick: Chapter 4, the film has also introduced a number of new characters. The Marquis, played by Bill Skarsgrd, will ostensibly be the film’s main nemesis, but Donnie Yen’s Caine, a character from Wick’s past, also seems to pose a serious threat. In addition to Skarsgrd and Yen, John Wick: Chapter 4 also introduces Clancy Brown as a mysterious character, Hiroyuki Sanada as Shimazu, Shamier Anderson as Tracker, Rina Sawayama as Akira, Scott Adkins as Killa, Natalia Tena as Katia, and George Georgiou as The Elder.
It was originally planned for John Wick: Chapter 4 and a fifth episode to be shot concurrently, but that decision was made to give Stahelski and Reeves a “creative respite” between films. Fans can be confident that Reeves’ character will survive to fight another day after the conclusion of the upcoming franchise sequel because Stahelski did announce that a fifth film in the series is still in the works.
The audience won’t have much longer to wait to see Keanu Reeves’ assassin back in action since John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled to be released in little over 3 months.
