The project, which is still in its early stages, will delve into themes of Black love, identity, and the quest for belonging.
The untitled drama, set in the vibrant city of Atlanta, will explore the complexities of relationships against the backdrop of Usher’s timeless music. According to the logline, the series will delve into the intertwining lives of its characters, touching on music, fashion, romance, and the hidden truths that can either bind or break them.
Usher expressed his excitement for the project, stating, “My 30-year catalog has resonated with so many people no matter where they were in their lives. I’m happy to be working with UCP to bring the music to life. I hope the series resonates with you the way my music continues to.”
Executive producers Selwyn Seyfu Hinds, Katie Zucker, and Kenny Meiselas are set to collaborate with Usher on this ambitious project.
