Netflix’s British comedy series Sex Education has officially been confirmed for season 4 in September 2021. The series is created by Laurie Nunn for Netflix. The series follows the students, faculty, and parents at the fictional Moordale Secondary School as they deal with a variety of personal issues, many of which are related to sexual intimacy. The ensemble cast, writing, directing, production values, and mature presentation of the topics in Sex Education have all won critical acclaim. The show has a large fan base, with over 40 million people watching the first season after it got premiered.
Unfortunately, there is no word on when the show will resume production for Season 4. Several cliffhangers closed the third season. Moordale High School’s students have grown up, and the school is closing its doors. The post-production work would take at least another six months if the filming starts now and runs through November. As a result, viewers can anticipate the series debuting in early 2023.
The filmmaking crew is already gearing up for the shoot. Lauren Evans, the casting director for Sex Education Season 4, published a casting call in November. Lauren Evans remarked in an interview with backstage.com, “We were looking for an eclectic group that was both fresh and diverse. The auditions were fantastic. Viewers will see two newbies, Abbi and Kent, in Sex Education Season 4.” However, Bridgerton star Simone Ashley who portrayed Olivia in Sex Education may not return for Season 4 of the series as she is currently working on another season of Bridgerton.Her character, Olivia last appeared in Sex Education Season 2.
Simone Ashley appeared on the talk show “This Morning” with Vernon Kay and Josie Gibson lately. When asked if she will appear in Season 4 of Sex Education, she said, “No!” She added, “I get asked that all the time. No, I’m a Bridgerton girl now.” Ashley has confirmed that she will return for Bridgerton Season 3 and is looking forward to seeing how Kate’s tale unfolds now that she is married. She said, “She’s the head of the household now, she’s the Viscountess and married to Anthony and it’s a year later at this point, so I’m very excited.”
