The “Baywatch” alum, aged 52, expressed regret over not conducting self-exams regularly and attributed the difficulty in detecting the cancer to her breast implants.
Eggert revealed that if she had her smaller, natural breasts instead of implants obtained as a teenager, she believes she would have noticed the cancer much sooner. Her rare stage 2 cribriform carcinoma diagnosis came after she detected a lump in her left breast, describing it as throbbing and painful.
The emotional toll of her diagnosis is compounded by thoughts of her daughters, particularly her 12-year-old, for whom she is the sole caregiver. Despite the challenges, Eggert is determined to fight the disease, emphasizing the need to persevere for the sake of her family.
