Diablo 4 introduces exciting Seasonal Content that runs for a specific duration, offering players a fresh and engaging experience with new adventures and changes on a dedicated realm. To participate in these thrilling seasonal events, players need to create new characters exclusively for the Seasonal Realm.

1. Understand Seasonal Realms and Character Migration

Seasonal Realms in Diablo 4 are separate from the “Eternal Realm,” where characters created before the new Season are bound. Characters created in the Seasonal Realm will only be available during that particular season. At the end of each Season, these characters will be migrated to the Eternal Realm along with any earned rewards and progress.

2. Transfer Benefits from Main Character

Before creating your new Season 1 Character, it’s essential to ensure they enjoy the benefits unlocked by your main Character on the Eternal Realm. After Patch 1.1.0, unlockable rewards that carry over to other characters have been updated to include map reveals and Altar of Liliths.

Log in to your “main” character on the Eternal Realm, who has the most Sanctuary map revealed and has discovered the most Altars of Lilith. This will bind their accomplishments, buffs, and Renown to be partially carried over to your new Seasonal Characters.

3. Complete Main Story Campaign on Eternal Realm

If your main character is close to completing the Main Story Campaign, it is highly recommended to finish it on the Eternal Realm. By doing so, you can Skip the Campaign on your new Seasonal Character and unlock the new Seasonal Questline and features right from the start. This saves time and allows you to delve into the Seasonal Content immediately.

4. Creating Your Season 1 Character

When you are ready to create your Season 1 Character, access the Character select screen, which will initially display the Eternal Realm. Don’t worry about switching realms beforehand. Select “Create New Character” and choose your desired Class for the Seasonal Character.

Once you have finalized the Class, appearance, and name, you will notice a section labeled “Season Info” in the top left corner. This indicates whether there is an active season. If you have already completed the Campaign on another character, choose “Skip Campaign” to explore the world freely at level 1 and start the Seasonal Content immediately.

5. Selecting Your Hero’s Realm

Upon clicking “Start Game,” you will be prompted to select your Hero’s Realm. Since you want to embark on the Seasonal adventure, choose the Seasonal Realm and click Continue. Your Character will now be created in the Seasonal Realm, where you can begin exploring the Seasonal Content and Quests.

6. Accessing Seasonal Content

Seasonal Content and Quests in Diablo 4 are marked with green leaf icons, making them easily identifiable on the map. However, keep in mind that you won’t be able to access new Seasonal content if you haven’t completed the Main Campaign on your new character or an older character that has opted to skip the Campaign.

In conclusion, starting a Season 1 Character in Diablo 4 opens up a world of exciting Seasonal Content and adventures. By following these steps and preparing your new Character, you can fully immerse yourself in the thrill of the new season and make the most of the unique challenges and rewards it offers. Happy gaming!
