Drake, the renowned Canadian rapper and singer, has disappointed fans in Memphis, Tennessee, by canceling his highly anticipated concert at the FedEx Forum. The event, originally scheduled for August 6, 2023, has been officially canceled, and tickets are no longer available on the Ticketmaster website. All purchases will be refunded to the fans.
The canceled show was part of Drake’s “It’s All a Blur Tour,” which commenced on July 5, 2023, and is set to conclude on October 29, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio. The tour features American rapper 21 Savage as well, who has collaborated with Drake on several songs during the 58-song setlist. Despite the unfortunate postponement in Memphis, Drake was able to perform in his hometown on June 27, 2023.

This is not the first time that Drake’s Memphis show has faced complications. It had already been rescheduled once before the recent cancellation, which has left fans disappointed. The Memphis Commercial Appeal reported that the show was postponed for the second time. In a previous rescheduled date, Drake was still honored with a key to the county as planned, due to his strong connections to the city through his family.
According to Drake’s representatives, the logistical challenges associated with the magnitude of the production of his concert made it impossible to proceed with the FedEx Forum show on August 6th, leading to the unfortunate cancellation. The concert organizers expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the fans.
In addition to Memphis, the Milwaukee, Wisconsin tour stop has also been affected. Originally slated for August 3, the Milwaukee show will now take place on August 4. So far, Drake’s Los Angeles tour dates remain unaffected, with the four shows scheduled for the area beginning on August 12 still listed on his website.
Despite the cancellations, Drake and 21 Savage have been performing in various cities, including New York, Chicago, and Montreal, to the delight of their fans. The two artists are set to perform in Philadelphia for their next two shows, with no announcements regarding any further changes.
Drake’s “It’s All a Blur Tour” marks his first North American tour in five years, with more than 50 dates scheduled to entertain audiences across the continent. Despite the setbacks, fans eagerly await his future performances, hoping for a smooth and fulfilling concert experience.
