UFC star Conor McGregor recently shared a rare insight into his family life, revealing that his children are following in his footsteps in an unexpected way. In an exclusive interview with E! News, McGregor discussed how his eldest kids, Conor Jack Jr., Croía Mairéad, and Croía Mairéad, are taking classes at a dance school.

While McGregor is known for his prowess in the Octagon, he revealed that his children are passionate about Irish dancing, a beautiful and traditional art form. McGregor himself has experience with Irish dancing from his school days and sees the value in his children learning the skill.

“I do a little bit of riverdancing. I [did] Irish dancing for sure in school,” McGregor shared. “My children are doing it. They love it.”

The 35-year-old fighter believes that Irish dancing can help develop agility and nimbleness, qualities that can benefit in various endeavors, including fighting.

“That’s why I have my son in it,” McGregor explained. “I know he’ll be nimble on the feet and light on the feet.”

McGregor has previously integrated his Irish dance skills into his MMA fighting and has even paid tribute to renowned Riverdance star Michael Flatley by naming one of his moves after him.

In addition to discussing his family life, McGregor also touched on his recent film debut in the Road House remake. As a fan of the original movie and its star, Patrick Swayze, McGregor expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn from actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who takes on the lead role in the reboot.

“I learned a lot from him,” McGregor said of Gyllenhaal’s acting skills. “Very grateful and blessed to be in the position that I’m in to learn from someone like him.”

McGregor’s comments offer a glimpse into his multifaceted life, showcasing his dedication to both his family and his career pursuits.
