Colorado’s new outdoor amphitheater, the Sunset Amphitheater, is set to have its grand opening weekend with a headlining act by OneRepublic, a Grammy-nominated band formed in Colorado Springs in 2002. The 8,000-seat open-air amphitheater, located in north Colorado Springs near the Air Force Academy, plans to open for its first concert on August 9 at the Polaris Pointe development. The Sunset Amphitheater is part of a $90 million entertainment campus, featuring top-of-the-line audio-visual systems, a self-draining grass berm, and over 90 luxury fire pit suites. The venue offers a unique backdrop with views of Pikes Peak, the United States Air Force Academy stadium, and the iconic Air Force chapel.

Notes Live, the builder of Sunset Amphitheater, expects to announce the full inaugural season lineup in the coming weeks. The concert venue will be booked in partnership with concert promoter AEG Presents. The grand opening concert featuring OneRepublic will have a general on-sale date of February 10, with pre-sale registration currently open. Notes Live aims to address the lack of high-quality venues in fast-growing cities like Colorado Springs, providing upscale demographics with an exceptional live entertainment experience.

Sunset Amphitheater is one of several venues opened by Notes Live in “entertainment deserts,” where growing populations lack high-quality entertainment options. The company previously opened Boot Barn Hall in Colorado Springs in February 2019. JW Roth, Founder and Chairman of Notes Live, expressed a commitment to providing a perfect experience for audiences, emphasizing the importance of translating perfection into every aspect of their work.
