Bill Skarsgård, known for his chilling portrayal of Pennywise in “It,” is set to send shivers down spines once again, this time with his bone-chilling transformation as Eric Draven in the upcoming remake of “The Crow.” Released by Lionsgate on February 28, images showcasing Skarsgård’s dramatic metamorphosis have left fans eagerly anticipating his portrayal of the gothic anti-hero.

In the photos, Skarsgård is adorned with an array of tattoos, each adding to the character’s dark and brooding aesthetic. From a large eye emblazoned on his chest to crosses adorning his abs and cryptic letters above his right eyebrow, the actor’s body serves as a canvas for the intricate designs that define Eric Draven’s iconic look.

Echoing the visual elements of the original 1994 film, which starred Brandon Lee in the titular role, Skarsgård’s transformation includes heavy black eye makeup, adding an eerie intensity to his portrayal of the resurrected musician seeking vengeance for the brutal murder of himself and his fiancée.

In intimate scenes captured in the released images, Skarsgård is seen alongside FKA twigs, who portrays his fiancée Shelly Webster in the film. These glimpses offer a tantalizing preview of the chemistry between the lead characters, hinting at the emotional depth and complexity that will drive the narrative forward.

Directed by Rupert Sanders, known for his work on films such as “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Ghost in the Shell,” the remake of “The Crow” promises a fresh take on James O’Barr’s iconic graphic novel series. Sanders, in an interview with Vanity Fair, shared his excitement about the casting of Skarsgård and twigs, highlighting their chemistry and dedication to their roles.

“I never did any tests between Bill and Twigs,” Sanders revealed. “I had them for dinner when they first arrived [on set] in Prague and I was a bit like a nervous parent looking to see if there were any sparks, because you don’t know. And they were great. They hung out and were straight into it.”

As anticipation builds for the release of “The Crow” remake, fans eagerly await the opportunity to witness Bill Skarsgård’s haunting portrayal of Eric Draven. With his mesmerizing transformation and undeniable talent, Skarsgård is poised to captivate audiences once again, solidifying his status as a master of the macabre on the silver screen.
