Fans were stunned by Khloe Kardashian’s recent health update on Instagram, where she gave an explanation for the many rumours circulating about the “ever-evolving bandage” covering her face. Khloe disclosed how she had a skin cancer scare after discovering an unnatural lump on her face. The 38-year-old celebrity has informed her social media fans that she had a procedure to remove a minor lump off her cheek.

Kardashian uploaded a picture of the bulge on her face and explained how she initially ignored it, thinking it was just a small pimple. She went on to say, “I have seen numerous stories going around about the ever-evolving bandage on my face, with some of you wondering why I’ve been wearing one for the past few weeks. After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realising it was not budging.”

Khloe further revealed, “Dermatologist Dr Tess Mauricio (@drtessmauricio) examined it, and a second biopsy was ran by Dr. Daniel Behroozan (@drdanbehroozan) because what they were both seeing was incredibly rare for someone my age. She further added, “A few days later I was told I need to have an immediate operation to remove a tumour from my face. I called none other than Dr. Garth Fischer, a dear friend of my families and one of the best surgeons in Beverly Hills who I knew would take incredible care of my face.”

Kardashian said that once the doctor was able to remove “everything,” she is currently going through the healing process. Kardashian continued by saying that she will initially be seen wearing facial bandages and will later likely have a scar and an indentation in her cheek where the tumour once was. Khloe disclosed that she made the decision to discuss the specifics of her diagnosis and course of treatment in the hopes that everyone will ensure to regularly get examined.

She also mentionedabout her previous melanamo treatment, “At 19 years old, I had melanoma on my back and I had a surgery to remove that as well, so I am pre-composed to melanomas. Even those who are not, we should be checking all the time.” Khloe added that she is thankful for the fact that she was fortunate to receive her diagnosis in a timely manner.
