Anna Marsh, CEO of StudioCanal, has been named deputy CEO of the production and distribution company’s owner, Canal+ Group. Anna Marsh, who was named to the Canal+ management board earlier this year, joined StudioCanal in 2008 and began her career in sales, eventually rising to the position of EVP of international sales. In 2019, she was appointed MD of Studiocanal UK’s London-based sales division, initially reporting to Nicola Shindler, who was appointed CEO of Studiocanal UK in September 2018.
Marsh was then appointed CEO of the larger StudioCanal business in December 2019, succeeding the departing Didier Lupfer. Shindler left StudioCanal when it acquired her Red Production Company in 2020 to form ITV Studios-backed Quay Street Productions.

This appointment demonstrates Canal+ Group’s faith in her and her new transversal role within the Group.”
Marsh has worked in the entertainment business for about 20 years. She started her career in 2002 in the worldwide sales division of Tele Images Productions (Marathon Group) after earning degrees from the University of Otago in New Zealand and HEC. Later, she was named the international sales manager at TF1 International. Since her first joining Studiocanal in 2008 as VP International Sales, she has progressively advanced through the ranks at Canal. She was named to the Canal+ Group Management Board earlier this year. She was named Director of International Sales shortly after being named Head of International Distribution Strategy in 2013. In March 2019, Anna Marsh was appointed general manager of the STUDIOCANAL subsidiary in the UK after being appointed director of international distribution for the company in 2017. She was appointed General Manager of STUDIOCANAL in December 2019. She was named to the CANAL+ Group’s Management Board in February 2022.
