Season 1 of All American: Homecoming was unexpectedly picked up by Netflix US in July 2022, instead of HBO Max. All 13 episodes are now available on Netflix, and we have excellent news: a second season is on the way, and it will most likely be available on Netflix.
All American, All American: Homecoming began as a backdoor pilot in the parent series and follows Simone Hicks, who is now a student at Bringston University in Atlanta, Georgia. It follows her aspirations to become a professional tennis player through their ups and downs.
As previously stated, the show was originally slated for HBO Max. It was supposed to premiere in late June 2022, however the date passed without the show being available. Instead, it was unexpectedly licenced to Netflix on July 12th, 2022.
It’s worth mentioning that All American: Homecoming is only available on Netflix in the United States and is anticipated to remain so. If you live outside of the United States, you’ll have to find another means to see the show.
Will All American: Homecoming ever be released on Netflix?
Despite the fact that a big amount of The CW’s library was cancelled this year, both Homecoming and its mothership series All American were renewed. All American has been renewed for a fifth season, which will premiere on Netflix in 2023.
Deadline reported in early July 2022 that season 2 of All American: Homecoming will premiere in October 2022. (specifically October 10th). This is slightly earlier than the first season, which began dropping in the middle of the season.
It’s not a given that All American: Homecoming’s new season will air on Netflix, unlike other CW programmes. Homecoming is an exception to this rule; all previous The CW shows heading to Netflix will do so for the duration of their run on The CW. Having said that, it is very likely that Netflix will purchase additional seasons.
Assuming it does, it would have to air on Netflix after The CW has finished airing it. We may anticipate that the 13 anticipated episodes will end up in early Spring 2023 and then launch on Netflix shortly afterward due to the earlier release date than season 1.
All American: Homecoming season 2 will be available on Netflix in the spring of 2023, but we don’t yet have any concrete dates for finales or other important events.
