Marvel’s most anticipated series Moon Knight wraps its first season with its sixth episode which got released on May 4. The response to the series has been extremely good, and Marvel Studios appears to have created yet another excellent Marvel series. According to the reports, it might possible that the popular marvel comics character will return for another season or some sort of spin-off.

Mohamed Diab, the series’ episodic director and executive producer, was asked by Deadline if he expects to return for season 2. He replied, “We don’t know if there’s the next season. Marvel doesn’t go with a conventional way, so even if they like the character and want to extend the world, it could be season 2, it could be a standalone film, or he can join another superhero’s journey.” “I’m kept in the dark, just like the fans,” Diab added. He continued, “We never discussed it being a season 2, but one day there’s going to be an expansion, but I don’t know how it’s going to look like.”

Moon Knight’s executive producer Grant Curtis also teases an update on whether or not the fans can expect season 2 of the series. Curtis said, “Where Moon Knight lands in MCU after this, actually don’t know. As a fan, I want to know, because Oscar created such an engaging, emotional performance that people want to see more of the Steven-Marc-Jake story.” Jake appearing in the season one finale was always a possibility, according to Diab, but Isaac’s dual personalities Steven and Marc waking up in their London flat “wasn’t always the case.” Diab, who stayed silent, said that several endings were in the works. In layman’s terms, the duo’s souls reunited in the end, with Marc being resurrected, so that they may once again become God Khonshu’s avatar and destroy their foe God Ammit.

The last episode, Gods and Monsters, introduces Marc, who must find a way to return to the living world and stop Arthur Harrow, the new chosen avatar for the long-exiled Egyptian deity Ammit, while dread and chaos sweep the Underworld as souls arrive ahead of schedule. Following the events of the previous episode, Asylum, Taweret informed Marc and Steven that even if they survived, they would wake up in a body torn by bullets, unable to recover.
