Marvel Studios’ new web series ‘Moon Knight’ is set to release tomorrow on Disney+. Starring Oscar Isaac the series already finds itself in a rare MCU club not only have full web series for a new character to come on directly on Disney+ for the first season. Marvel Studios have already seen a huge amount of success in the form of Emmys Nominations for WandaVision and from the streaming records set by Loki’s new series starring Tom Hiddleston. Although this is a new character for the fans who have not read the marvel comics where he made his first appearance in August 1975 in the comic Werewolf by Night which was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin. The series also stars four times academy award nominee Ethan Hawke.
Grant Curtis in an interview with Collider talking about season 2 said that the second season is still doubtful but he also said that Moon Knight can fit into “any corner” of the MCU universe. He also added: “What I will say is this: because we delve into so many interesting tones in the tapestry we eventually weave together with this show, the action-adventure globetrotting, the bump in the night horror aspects of it, the mental health character study, the humor, I do think wherever [Marvel President] Kevin [Feige] wants this character to go in the future, I don’t think there’s any corner in the MCU that that Moon Knight cannot inhabit naturally. And that is a testament not only to the character on the page but the character that Oscar Isaac brings to the screen.”
Although there is uncertainty around a second season Curtis is hopeful of getting to work with the “Amazing Cast” of Moon Knight in any potential project involving moon knight. The new characters that Marvel Studios have brought to Dsiney+ so are just starting their journey be it with Loki or Ms. Marvel starring Iman Vellani.
