Fate: The Wix Saga: A Show Which Took On Bridgerton Has A New Season

Fate: The Winx Saga is an original teen drama fanatsy show adapted from the widely hit cartoon called Winx Club, the show’s creator is Brian Young with three people serving as the series’s director which includes Hannah Quinn, Lisa James Larsson and Stephen Woolfenden. There were confirmed reports in 2020 that Fate: The Winx Saga will be renewed, although Netflix only confirmed the news of its renewal in February, 2021. On its Twitter handle, the streaming service giant announced that Fate: The Winx Saga will have a new season. On YouTube, the video affirming the arrival of season 2 was uploaded.

Creator of the series Brian Young said, “The six episodes in season one only scratched the surface of this incredibly rich world and the powerful fairies who inhabit it. As Bloom’s story continues to evolve, I can’t wait for you to learn even more about Aisha, Stella, Terra and Musa! And you never know who might show up at Alfea next term..” Another Netflix original drama called Bridgerton dominated the ratings and viewership in several nations specifically America and it is Fate: The Winx Saga which managed to topple Bridgerton’s monopoly over viewership on January 2021.

When it comes to the subject of cast, the show was criticised for not casting an Asian actress to play the role of Musa, a character based on Charlie’s Angels star Lucy Lui who is Chinese-American instead Elisha Applebaum portrayed Musa’s character. Audience were also upset with Paulina Chavez who played Flora being removed from the series but it is being said that Flora will be returning in season 2. Three new characters will be arriving in Fate: The WInx Saga’s season 2, Eanna Hardwick will play Sebastian who is an intelligent student but has weak morality, Brandon Grace is portraying Grey (He is a transgender and is in a relationship with Aisha). It is being said that Jayden Revri of Mohammed (2014) fame will depict the character of Devin.

Season 2 will have eight episodes, on July last year it was confirmed that the filming started. The shooting took place in County Wicklow, Ireland with some scenes also shot in Avoca. Fate: The Winx Saga can take a huge amount of time before premiering on Netflix as season 1’s shooting began in September, 2019 and despite the filming wrapping up in December of 2019 it took more than a year before the show aired. Hence, from actor’s social media posts it can be concluded that shooting wrapped up in November of last year, so it could be late 2022 or early 2023 when Fate: The Winx’s season 2 arrives.
