RELEASE DATE FOR OUTER BANKS SEASON 3: WHEN WILL OUTER BANKS SEASON 3 BE RELEASED?
The Netflix Twitter account confirmed that Outer Banks season 3 had officially started filming on February 28, 2022, tweeting “Time to get in a pogue state of mind…” and two photos of the cast enjoying the sun on set. So, now that filming has begun, we can expect more updates in the coming weeks.
PLOT OF OUTER BANKS SEASON 3: WHAT HAPPENS IN OUTER BANKS SEASON 3?
Unfortunately, information about what will happen in Outer Banks season 3 is scarce at the moment, with the show’s creators and Netflix keeping their cards close to their chest. However, we do know some things and can make assumptions about others.
Season 2 of the show featured a lot of drama, with John B and Sarah in the Bahamas following the tumultuous end of season 1. Meanwhile, the rivalry between the Pogues and the Kooks over the $400 million continued. By the end of Season 2, we learned that John B’s father had been discovered alive and well.
The show’s creators, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke, told Entertainment Weekly, “John B’s relationship with his father is a huge theme.” They’ll eventually reunite, and John B will have to reconcile his idealized version of his deceased father with the reality of his alive father.”
Meanwhile, the Pogues finished season 2 stranded on a desert island with no food and no way out. Season 2 villain Carla Limbrey has made contact with Big John, John B’s father, and the two appear to be forming an alliance to get what they both want. Will adversaries become friends? According to Deadline, Chase Stokes will reprise his role as John B, and will be joined by Madelyn Cline in the role of Sarah. Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkey, and Charles Esten will all return for season 3 as supporting characters.
Carlacia Grant, who plays Cleo, has been promoted to series regular for the third season, so we can expect to see her more. Charles Halford will, of course, reprise his role as Big John, with the storyline of John B’s father playing a key role in the upcoming season.
