Since its premiere in 2019, Netflix’s drama series Virgin River has kept viewers on the edge of their seats. The season 3 finale, on the other hand, took things to a whole new level. Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) is followed by the show after she relocates to the small town following a series of traumatic life events. The nurse and midwife falls for retired Marine Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson), who owns the town’s bar.
Mel revealed her pregnancy to Jack at the end of Virgin River Season 3, his proposal was interrupted, and a slew of other events transpired. Season 4 will, according to Henderson, answer a lot of questions.
Season 4 of Virgin River wrapped filming just over a month ago in Vancouver. Season 4 fans should expect to wait at least six months for new episodes to arrive on Netflix.
A series’ post-production process usually takes a long time before it is released on a streaming service. From our vantage point, the show will most likely premiere in the third or fourth quarter of this year.
Virgin River will answer a lot of questions when it returns to Netflix. Mel doesn’t know who her child’s father is, we don’t know if Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) shot Jack, and a slew of other questions remain unanswered.
“I can’t say too much because it’ll give it away, but you’ll figure it out,” Henderson told Hello to The Digital Fix. I’ll just say that season four reveals and answers all of the questions before posing new ones. Because of the massive cliffhanger, I believe season four will be extremely satisfying for viewers. There were several cliffhangers, which created a love/hate situation for the audience, as they loved the story but despised the wait. It’ll be worthwhile because the writers actually respond to those questions. “I believe the public will be satisfied.”
When Virgin River Season 4 premieres, it will most likely focus on Mel and Jack’s relationship. Fans should prepare for what lies ahead, according to Breckenridge.
“If it’s not Jack’s baby, Jack and Mel are going to have a difficult time,” says the author. “It’d be extremely difficult.” That would be extremely difficult, particularly for Jack. If he’s going to stick around, if he’s going to be devoted to Mel, having a child with her dead husband is going to be difficult. That’s just a lot of asking.”
