A fresh actor should be brought in to play the king of Wakanda, according to him, so long as T’Challa continues to be part of the ‘Black Panther’ series. T’Challa’s removal from the MCU is akin to denying a black youngster a positive role model by removing him from the MCU, as he said.
Derrick is of the opinion that hip-hop exalts certain societal ills, and that there aren’t enough positive role models for young black people these days to make up for this. T’Challa, a symbol of Black people’s potential, might be brought back by Marvel to counterbalance this. For a long time, fans have been clamouring for this action to be taken. They’d want to see these actors take on the role of the King of Wakanda if he were recast.
