Season 3 of ‘Lost in Space’ is now available on Netflix.

Lost in Space

We’re super-excited to finally see the third season of “Lost in Space” on our television screens, since it appears that good things do truly come to those who wait.

So, speed-read this piece, then dash into the living room, carefully avoiding the cat, then reach for the remote, turn on the TV, and sit back to enjoy the final season of Netflix’s epic sci-fi, which is now accessible to stream. Now is the time.

The show is a remake of the groundbreaking science fiction series of the same name, which ran on black-and-white television screens across the United States in 1965.

Irwin Allen created the show, and showrunner Zack Estrin has revised it in the same way Ron D. Moore reworked Glen A. Larson’s 1978 “Battlestar Galactica.” It’s been updated, redesigned, regendered, adjusted, and fine-tuned to become one of the best science fiction shows on television in recent years.
We watched an entire ship of robots attack and board the Resolute mothership towards the end of the second season, which aired two years ago, with more inbound to collect the alien engine. Judy (Taylor Russell) leads a mission to deliver the Resolute’s 97 children to the Alpha Centauri colony on a Jupiter landing ship powered by the alien engine and flown by the Robot, while Maureen (Molly Parker) and Don (Ignacio Serricchio) manage to capture them.

The Jupiter spaceship carrying the youngsters escapes through a hole in space, but the Robot has tracked the ship to an unknown star system thanks to a human-made radar signature. They discover the Fortuna, a ship that went missing over 20 years ago and was commanded by Judy’s biological father, Grant Kelly. Despite the fact that the second season wasn’t quite as amazing as the first, we still have high hopes for this show. “Lost in Space” is perhaps the best serialized sci-fi currently on television, with the exception of “The Expanse,” “The Orville,” and “The Mandalorian.”

According to Netflix’s official synopsis: “The stakes are above ever in the third and final season of Lost in Space, and therefore the Robinson family’s survival instincts are going to be pushed to the ultimate test. Judy, Penny, Will, and the Robot must lead the 97 young Colonists in a perilous evacuation after a year of being stranded on a foreign planet — but not before secrets are revealed that will affect their lives forever.”
