American Singer, Songwriter Taylor Swift will be dropping the music video for the song Lavender Haze from her latest album Midnights, at midnight ET.
The video is being anticipated by the fans ever since Miss Swift dropped the promo teaser, last October. The Artist of the decade so far released two music videos since the album release, one each for the songs ‘Anti Hero’ and ‘Bejeweled’.
The Global Icon’s fans, popularly known as ‘Swifties’ have decoded the ‘Midnights Mayhem with Me’, a series of videos the singer dropped to reveal the titles of new tracks and came to conclusion that there would be three singles for the new album. As anticipated, Taylor is now releasing a third single.
‘Midnights’ Massive Success
‘Midnights’ was released on October 21st last year. Just when everybody thought ‘Million Copies Selling’ era is over, Miss Swift’s album debuted with a whooping 1.6 million units in its first week! To get a glimpse of how big of an achievement this is, it is requisite to know that nobody has been able to even get close to 850K units. With this feat Swift has become the only artist to have five 1M+ debuts.
The Global Icon’s Album also shattered Spotify records by debuting with nearly 185 million streams on its first day. It is the biggest album debut ever by any artist in the platform’s history. The album amassed over a billion streams in just a week. She also debuted at #1 on both Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 simultaneously, a feat that is not at all new to the superstar. The 13-time Grammy winner also occupied the entire top 10 on Hot 100, a historic feat that will probably never be replicated.
Midnights first week also holds the record for biggest vinyl sales week in Nielson era. Swift broke the record for biggest single day streams for any artist catalog in Spotify’s history with over 228 million streams.
