did star wars just spoil bad batch season 2s major reunion

Dee Bradley Baker, a seasoned voice actor for clone troopers in the Star Wars universe, has hinted at Commander Cody’s reappearance in a future episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. The Disney+ program, a spinoff of the well-known animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, centers on Clone Force 99, also known as the Bad Batch, a group of genetically modified clone soldiers with individual skills. Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, and Echo of the Bad Batch team were forced to flee due to the Galactic Empire’s Order 66, which instructed the clones to turn on their Jedi leaders. Crosshair, a member of the Bad Batch squad, led the pursuit.

Jedi generals were given a clone battalion and a commander to operate with during the Clone Wars. Clone Marshal Commander Cody was teamed with Master Obi-Wan Kenobi (CC-2224). Cody, like other clones, turned against Kenobi after receiving Order 66 from Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Cody was a recurring character in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and will return in Star Wars: The Bad Batch. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Baker previewed Cody’s future appearance on the hit series. The actor admits that Cody was never really given an opportunity to shine in the series, but he assures fans that season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch would offer him a “fascinating tale.”

Well, this episode with Cody is something that needed to happen, and I think it’s something that fans need to see and will want to see. He’s always been very much a fan favorite, even though he wasn’t highlighted all that much. Even in the Clone Wars series. But here he is front and center with the conundrum of what is playing out and where he stands with the side that he is still a part of. And it’s a fascinating story, and I’ve got to say, without talking about it too much directly, but it’s a good indicator of a story told in an interesting and innovative way where the most impactful moment of it, you didn’t even see, it wasn’t even spoken. You learn about it after the fact, and then you put it together, what has actually happened. And that’s the story that plays out that makes that Cody’s story there so interesting and compelling and, you know, in a way kind of heartbreaking for me.

The potential influence of Commander Cody on The Bad Batch

Taking instructions from Kenobi and subsequently organizing the treachery against him, Commander Cody played a very minor part in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The behavioral modification bio-control chips that were implanted in the brains of Cody and all other normal clones were in charge of regulating their behavior. When given particular directives, this took away their ability to choose. In Star Wars: The Clones, Kenobi and Cody were depicted as spending a lot of time together and developing a close friendship while fighting the Separatists, much like Rex and Anakin Skywalker had done during the series.

The appearance of Cody again in Star Wars: The Bad Batch will provide viewers with information on the character’s whereabouts throughout the expansion of the Galactic Empire. According to Baker’s remarks, Cody has been considering the seriousness of the enormous betrayal and the sudden shift in leadership despite the behavioral inhibitor chip in his head. The clone commander will likely have to make a choice that might get him in trouble with the Empire.

We’ll have to wait and watch how Cody interacts with Clone Force 99. However, Crosshair and Cody may be seen talking about Order 66 in the most recent Star Wars: The Bad Batch video. While Crosshair is adamant that anybody who doubts the Empire is a traitor, Kenobi’s old companion acknowledges that he has seen numerous clones question the wisdom of the Emperor’s instructions. Viewers can watch brand-new episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch on Disney+ every Wednesday to see how Cody makes a comeback in the venerable science fiction and fantasy series.
