The first trailer for season two of Star Wars: The Bad Batch was unveiled today at Star Wars Celebration 2022, giving fans an action-packed insight at the season ahead of its release this fall. The series, which follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch first featured in ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars,’ was renewed in August 2021, just ahead of the two-part Season 1 finale.

Clone Force 99 battles numerous foes throughout the trailer, with a visit from Clone Commander Cody and a sequence hinting Alpha will confront the ominous Emperor Palpatine. There were also a few fleeting shots that appeared to include Gungi, a Wookie Jedi who was last seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

A lot of the action is depicted in quick bursts. Omega, who appears to be a little older and wears a one-of-a-kind suit, is engaged in conflicts and battling Palpatine. The Bad Batch’s remaining members are also seen battling their Imperial pursuers. Captain Rex, one of the most important clone troopers and a Bad Batch buddy, is overheard stating, “Let’s get to work,” implying that they have a risky assignment ahead of them.

Under the influence of Order 66, one member of Clone Force 99, the sharpshooter Crosshair, went against the Jedi as well as his own team in the 16-episode first season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Thereafter, the show revolved around the remaining four members of Clone Force 99 — Hunter, Wrecker, Tech and Echo — and their attempt to find a safe refuge, while making ends meet as mercenaries. Omega, a young female clone who develops friends with the Bad Batch while being sought by Imperial forces, was introduced to viewers in the first season.

Dee Bradley Baker, Archie Panjabi, Michelle Ang, Rhea Perlman, Bobby Moynihan, Freddie Prinze Jr., Taran Killiam, Seth Green, and others are among the voice cast for ‘The Bad Batch.’ Josh Rimes and Alex Spotswood produce the show, which is executive produced by Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett, and Carrie Beck. On May 4, 2021, the first season of ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ premiered on Disney Plus.
