With Searchlight Pictures, Taylor Swift will debut as a feature-length filmmaker. Additional information will be released at a later time. The singer, composer, and filmmaker has created an original story, which will be produced by the Academy Award-winning studio behind “Nomadland” and “The Shape of Water.”

“Taylor is a storyteller and artist of a once-in-a-generation caliber. According to Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield, working with Jessica as she begins this exciting and novel creative path is a true delight and honor.

For her work on “All Too Well: The Short Film” and “The Man,” Swift, who has won 11 Grammys and is the first female artist in Grammy history to win album of the year three times, just became the first solo artist to be recognized with two Best Direction prizes at the 2022 VMA Awards.

The 14-minute “All Too Well: The Short Film,” written and directed by Swift, was presented at the Toronto International Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival in 2022. Additionally, Swift has performed in films, including “Cats,” “Valentine’s Day,” and this year’s “Amsterdam” by David O. Russell.
