Taylor Swift has had some success experimenting with acting, and she even has a movie coming out soon with Christian Bale, John David Washington, and Margot Robbie. The multi-Grammy winner has a crucial supporting part as a heartbroken lady in David O. Russell’s Amsterdam, which will significantly advance Taylor Swift’s acting career.

Swift’s most well-known film to date is expected to be the drama starring Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, and John David Washington. She actually could have had “The Twilight Saga” on her resume, contrary to what Chris Weitz, the director of the movie claimed. Weitz claimed that Taylor Swift pushed for even the smallest cameo in the movie because she was eager to make a guest appearance.

Ultimately, though, things didn’t work out when Weisz declined the singer’s plea. The filmmaker explained why he rejected Taylor’s appearance during a conversation about the same on the podcast “The Twilight Effect” with Ashley Greene and Melanie Howe. Chris recalled what occured and said, “Taylor Swift was a huge Twi-hard, and Taylor Swift and I had the same agent at the time and he said, ‘Taylor would like to be in this movie ,not because of you, but she’s a Twi-hard”, as reported by The Independent.

The singer was prepared to portray even just someone at the cafeteria, diner, or wherever else, the director further stated. The director then admitted that one of the reasons he rejected the singer was that he felt she had too strong of a personality and that, given her fame, she would detract from the other actors and the plot. The filmmaker said that he “kicked” himself since he missed the opportunity to work with and get to know Swift, but he insisted that at the time he was thinking about what was best for the movie.
