Singer Taylor Swift to receive global icon award at 2021 Brit Award

Singer and songwriter Taylor Swift will become the first female artist and also the first non English artist to receive the award at 2021 Brit Award ceremony.

Previous recipient were Elton John (2014), David Browie (2016) and Robin Williams (2017).

The award is given ?in recognition of her immense impact on music across the world and incredible repertoire and achievements to date.?

So far, Taylor is the UK’s best selling artist in 2021 and has sold over 114 millions albums worldwide with total audio streams + global video reaching 78 billion, according to the numbers provided by the Official Chart Company.

While Swift is also nominated in the International female in solo artist category, which she has also won in the year 2015

Talking about the history Taylor is the only artist which have four consecutive album – Speak Now, RED, 1989 and reputation selling over the millions of copies the week they were released.

The show will also witness some amazing performances by Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, Griff, Olivia Ordiago and many more.

Earlier The Brit Award show was supposed to be held in February month but due to this ongoing pandemic the show have been postponed and will be held at O2 Arena on Tuesday, with live audience 4,000 roughly.
