Even though The Mandalorian Season 3’s first clip premiered just last month during the Star Wars presentation at D23, there is already word of the release of the following video. Following a secret screening earlier this year at the Star Wars Celebration, the first trailer for the upcoming batch of Disney+ episodes was publicly unveiled during Disney’s D23 event.
There was a lot in the teaser for viewers to process. Bo-Katan Kryze seated on her new Mandalore throne, a large group of new Mandalorians, a reunion on Navarro, and numerous aesthetically stunning space dog fights on Din Djarin’s new ship were among the highlights of this. Even though all of that is exciting, fans have been holding out for new information because they’ve been waiting so long to hear it. Thank goodness, Making Star Wars may be able to provide that information.
When Will the Upcoming Trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 Be Released?
According to Making Star Wars, Lucasfilm is currently preparing to release the second and final trailer for The Mandalorian’s third season on Christmas Day, or December 25. Prior to that, “assuming plans do not change,” the season’s official poster will arrive on December 14. The new video, which will run just under two minutes, will introduce Christopher Lloyd’s “crusty old white dude” Mando-clan-leader, according to the source. It’s possible that an image of his helmet with horns on top will also be included.
Additionally, according to their sources, the second trailer will have “fake-out-like-context” elements. For example, it may seem that Din Djarin and Bo-Katan are rivals for the season while, in reality, the upcoming episodes will largely feature them as partners.
Is the third season of The Mandalorian planning a Bo-Katan twist?
Although the report suggested that Bo-Katan might be the victim of a bait-and-switch, a previous set video does appear to suggest that betrayal may occur in her region of the world. Axe Woves, a former comrade of Katie Sackhoff’s character, was seen fighting him in the sneak peek from the third season of Mando’s set. Sadly, no additional context was provided.
Maybe her old team will turn out to be the villains of the forthcoming season rather than Bo-Katan? The globe will definitely be enthralled by Lloyd’s portrayal of the new Mandalorian because of the iconic actor’s significant role in the upcoming season. The debut of Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s Sabine Wren before she departs and makes an even bigger splash in the Ahsoka series the following year could be another potential plot point for the next episodes. This might result in additional Star Wars: Rebels characters, including Rebel Leader Hera Syndulla, displaying their faces. According to the same outlet mentioned above, The Mandalorian Season 3 is now scheduled to premiere on February 22, 2023. In either case, a 2023 debut is anticipated.
