On Friday, Donald Trump tweeted, “We will not be Silenced!” from the @POTUS government account, which has 33.4 millions followers. So the Twitter has taken the major decision by suspending his personal twitter account permanently.
Earlier,Twitter had permanently suspended the president’s go-to megaphone, his @realDonaldTrump personal account.
The company states that the accounts used by Trump to try get around the ban could face permanent suspension as well under its “ban evasion” policies.
“Twitter is not about FREE SPEECH. They are all about promoting a Radical Left Platform where some of the most vicious people in the world are allowed to speak freely. STAY TUNED”, said Trump.
Adding further,” Twitter has gone further and further in banning speech, and tonight, Twitter employers have coordinated with the Democrats and the Radical left in removing my account from their platform, to increase me…. Twitter may be a private company, but without the government’s gift of section 230 they would not exist any long”.
While on Wednesday Twitter had temporarily blocked Donald Trump’s account, which had more than 88 million followers, following the siege of Capitol Hill by pro-Trump protesters and warned that additional violations by the president’s accounts would results in a permanent suspension.
While on Friday, Twitter has also permanently banned two Trump loyalists – former national security adviser Micheal Flynn and attorney Sidney Powell – as part of a broader purge of accounts promoting the QAnon conspiracy theory.
