After years of bringing the news to TV audiences, CNN anchor Christine Romans is now creating her own headlines by leaving the news organisation.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, Romans, who was CNN’s chief business correspondent and the host of its morning news programme “Early Start,” announced her departure. Additionally on Friday, Romans made his last appearance on-air for the network.
“It’s impossible to sum up 24 wonderful and transformative years at CNN, but here it goes: five elections, a dot-com boom and bust, 9/11, a housing bubble and financial crisis, and a global pandemic,” Romans said to THR before mentioning some individual milestones she experienced while working for the network.

According to her profile on the CNN website, Romans started her career at CNN in 1999 as a correspondent for the network’s business coverage after having previously worked at the news agency Reuters.
Throughout her time at CNN, she made multiple appearances on shows like “Inside Politics,” “At This Hour with Kate Bolduan,” “Early Start,” “CNN Newsroom,” and “New Day.” According to the newscaster’s IMDb biography, Romans appeared in approximately 100 episodes of “New Day” between 2013 and 2022.It’s time for me to climb a new mountain now that I’ve scaled the first one, but I’ll always be glad to have worked with some of the best journalists in the industry, said Romans.
Romans, a published author, has written about business and finances in addition to her journalism. She is the author of three books: “How to Speak Money: The Language and Knowledge You Need Now,” “Smart Is the New Rich: Money Guide for Millennials,” and “Smart Is the New Rich: If You Can’t Afford It, Put It Down.”
