An upcoming behind-the-scenes documentary on the creation of Obi-Wan Kenobi, titled Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return, will have its streaming service debut on that day as a part of the eagerly anticipated Disney+ Day. Ewan McGregor, who plays Obi-Wan Kenobi in the television series, Hayden Christensen, who plays Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, and Moses Ingram, who plays Reva Sevander, are all seen in the documentary’s trailer discussing the process of ultimately bringing the story to life.

As the trailer comes to a close, Vivien Lyra Blair, who played Princess Leia Organa, is seen in silhouette, indicating the possibility that she will also be shown in the documentary. The prequel trilogy served as a bridge for young fans, welcoming them into the Galaxy far, far away with iconic characters they could call their own. For McGregor and Christensen, the series represented a return to roles they first played more than 20 years ago.

The most recent in a line of behind-the-scenes films tracing the creation of Disney+ Star Wars stories is Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return. Given that viewers have been anticipating the release of this documentary since the series concluded in June, it makes reasonable that Disney would make its big-screen debut of it on the day set aside for their streaming service.

In addition to introducing us to Kenobi and Skywalker, the movies also introduced us to Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson), who made a brief cameo at the conclusion of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman), whose absence from the show was felt despite it. The first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi were released in May at Star Wars Celebration, where thousands of fans had the opportunity to watch them together for the first time. This event was also documented for the documentary.

In addition to McGregor, Christensen, and Blair, the premiere also starred Indira Varma, Jimmy Smits, Rupert Friend, Simone Kessel, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Bonnie Piesse. Stars of the television show Kumail Nanjiani, Sung Kang, and Joel Edgerton were absent at the premiere. Thor: Love & Thunder and its making-of documentary Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love & Thunder are just two of the numerous new features that will be available on Disney+ Day.
