Obi-Wan Kenobi is an upcoming American television miniseries based on the Star Wars character of the same name that will air on Disney+. Deborah Chow directs the series, which is set ten years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005). Joby Harold serves as showrunner. On May 4, Star Wars Day, Disney and Star Wars published the official trailer for the new limited series Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Darth Vader appeared in the trailer. The sound of his heavy breathing hinted at his existence in the limited series, even if just his outfit was visible. Hayden Christensen will play Darth Vader, while Ewan McGregor will play Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, Darth Vader will not be Obi-only Wan’s adversary; the trailer also included Inquisitor Reva, played by Moses Ingram, who is heard telling Obi-Wan, “You can’t escape him.” Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen will reprise their roles in the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which will be set during the Empire’s Dark Times.

Obi-self-imposed Wan’s exile to Tatooine appears to have been far from monotonous, since Star Wars’ Inquisitors, who report to Darth Vader, are heading to the desert world. The trailer also emphasises one of the show’s primary plot lines. The Empire is desperately attempting to track down an on-the-run Obi-Wan to eliminate the Jedi for good.

The Emperor’s order produced the Inquisitors, a corps of former Jedi and powerful Force-sensitives who reported directly to Darth Vader. Their mission was to search the galaxy for Order 66 survivors and new Force sensitives, with the former being slain and the latter being kidnapped and carried to an Imperial stronghold to be brainwashed and utilised by the Emperor. They’re shown searching the planet Daiyu’s underbelly, a crime-ridden world that appears to be important in the show. Obi-Wan and Yoda chose Tatooine as a haven for Luke Skywalker because they felt Darth Vader would never return to his homeworld. Unfortunately, the Jedi appear to have underestimated the Empire, failing to recognise that Palpatine would assemble a corps similar to the Inquisitors to seek down survivors of Order 66. Their journey leads them to Tatooine, where Third Sister Reva is said to have clashed with Owen Lars himself.
