Courteney Cox announced the completion of her work on Scream 6 in a video that was uploaded to Instagram and included Ghostface. The aptly titled Scream 6 which is slicing its way to the big screen after the success of Scream 2022 earlier this year, is arguably one of the most exciting releases next year. Throughout the summer, the sixth episode was being filmed, and numerous set photographs have been teasing the appearance of characters like Gale Weathers, played by Courteney Cox. Cox has now disclosed that she has wrapped up filming for the eagerly anticipated sequel.

When she happens to observe something on the security video from the cameras in her home, Cox says in the video that she is delighted to have finished her work on Scream 6. As the actress watches in horror as Ghostface repeatedly looks into cameras, eerie music is playing in the background. While amusing, the footage also serves as a tease of Gale’s upcoming confrontation with a new Ghostface in Scream 6. Unfortunately, the video cuts out before we can see what ultimately happens to Cox.

Scream surpassed all expectations this year; in addition to being a huge hit at the box office, the movie also served as a fantastic continuation of the franchise. It brought a lot of new life and ideas to the table while also paying wonderful homage to the late Wes Craven. The only thing we do know about the sixth movie’s plot is that it follows the four characters from the last movie—Sam, Tara, Mindy, and Chad, “as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a new chapter.”

A number of set photographs have confirmed the movie’s speculated setting of New York City. This is significant since Gale relocated to New York City to advance her journalism profession, as revealed in Scream 2022. It will be intriguing to watch how Ghostface and Gale’s behaviour in the movie are impacted by being on her home soil. Devoid of Neve Campbell’s Sidney in this movie, Gale’s character will likely play a more significant role.
