The Summer I Turned Pretty follows 16-year-old Isabel “Belly” Conklin as she spends her summers in the fictional seaside town of Cousin’s Beach with her mother, elder brother, her mother’s childhood best friend, and her sons Conrad and Jeremiah, based on the premise of the trilogy. With the brothers, Belly becomes entangled in a love triangle. “Relationships will be tested, painful truths will be revealed, and Belly will be forever changed. On May 5, pop icon Taylor Swift made a special announcement on Instagram, releasing the first teaser trailer for The Summer I Turned Pretty. The trailer is a bit of a tease and doesn’t reveal too much. According to what we’ve gathered, there’s a love triangle, a beach party gone wrong, fighting, heartbreak, and a lot of fun. Taylor wrote “Thank you @jennyhan for debuting my version of ‘This Love’ in the trailer for @thesummeriturnedpretty!!” in the caption. “I’ve always been so proud of this song and I’m very 🥺🥺🥺 about this turn of events – ‘This Love (Taylor’s Version)’ comes out tonight at m i d n i g h t!”
